William Lee Logan, a long-time Cheat Lake resident, died in Barboursville, WV on November 1, 2016. Bill was born on February 17, 1920 in Keyser, WV, a son of John and Mary Logan. Preceding him in death were brothers Johnny, Ray, and Robert, and one sister, Betty Rinehart. Also preceding him in death were his loving wife, Sara Brooks Logan, two daughters, Janice Logan Erenrich and Joan Logan Brandstetter. He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Logan Allan and son-in-law Douglass Allan. He was loved by his family, including 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bill proudly and courageously served his nation as a SeaBee in the Navy in World War II and again in the Army during the Korean War. Bill continued a life of service as a letter carrier on the hilly streets of Morgantown where his kind and gentle nature endeared him to his patrons. He never met a stranger. It has been said that if you placed a hat on a fence post, Bill would manage to strike up a conversation.
