Obituary
Theron “Jerry” Cyrus, 75,
of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, August, 9, 1912 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 4; 00 pm at
the Jackson Avenue Church of God (Holiness) by Pastor Randy Lavender. Burial
will follow at Susie Chapel. Jerry was a retired employee of Adel
Fastener and Rubberlite. Jerry was born on February 8, 1937 in
Huntington, WV the son of the late Wendell and Ruby Adkins Cyrus. He
is survived by his wife of 45 years: Phyllis H. Barr Cyrus, one son and
daughter in law: Theron “Jerry” Cyrus Jr. and Carolyn Mayhle Cyrus of
Knoxville, TN. on daughter and son in law: Cherri Cyrus Porter and Jerry
Porter of Huntington, WV. Four grandchildren: Kyle Porter, Jacob Cyrus,
Clorissa Porter and Caitlyn Cyrus. Two brothers and sisters in law: Peter
and Betsy Barr and Jeff and Kathy Barr, three sisters in law; Julia Barr,
Shelia Williams and Candy Barr. Many beloved nieces, nephews, family
and friends. A very special thanks to St. Mary’s Cancer Infusion
Center, Cyndi, Stacy and Lee Ann. Friends may call from 2-4 Pm Sunday August
12, 2012 at the Jackson Avenue Church of God Holiness. Contributions
may be made to either : Grace Christian School at 1111 Adams Ave,
Huntington, WV 25704 or Seymour Christian School at 994 South Old Sevier
