John K. Jobe
(January 6, 1928 - January 25, 2011)



John K. Jobe, 83, of Barboursville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Barboursville Baptist Church, Barboursville by Rev. Todd Godby, Rev. Craig Coster and Rev. Ron Burnsworth. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. He was born January 6, 1928, in Barboursville, a son of the late Cecil C. and Edith E. Queen Jobe. John was a retired employee with CSX Railroad, a member of Barboursville Baptist Church, and a former board member of the Huntington City Mission. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Inez Knight Jobe; loving father of two daughters, Barbara Isaacs of Barboursville and Cindy Luther of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Rosemary Vidovich of Logan and Hattie Lewis of Barboursville; one brother, Paul Logan of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Jason and Anthony Isaacs; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary and Riley. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Barboursville Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Barboursville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 291, Barboursville, WV 25504.
