Hubert V. Roach
(June 20, 1921 - January 1, 2011)



Hubert V. Roach, 79, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 1, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel by the Rev. C.J. Adkins. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He was born June 20, 1931 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late William Ochell and Nellie Fay Gillespie Roach. He was retired from State Electric, was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty years, Betty Jo Legg Roach. He is survived by his wife Janet Ellis Roach; two daughters, Terri (Dave) Owens of Barboursville, Lisa K. Roach of Lavalette, WV; one son, David Roach of Danese, WV; a special grandson, Cory (Ami) Richardson of Barboursville, and grandchildren, Marissa Owens, Danielle Roach and Jordan Roach; a great grandchild, Chance Richardson; one stepson, Larry G. (Kim) Weaver of Miamisburg, OH; two stepgrandchildren, Juleah and Brandon Weaver; two sisters, Lorene Shockley of Florida and Dorothy Louise Fletcher of Kenova, WV; three brothers, Norman Roach and Paul Roach, both of Huntington, WV, and James Thomas Roach of New Richmond, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
