Lou Lessie Stevens
(March 29, 1919 - January 9,2011)



Lou Lessie Stevens, 91, of Barboursville, went home to be with her Lord after a long battle with leukemia on January 9, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Fellowship Baptist Church, Barboursville by Dr. Jerry Warren. Burial will be in Christian Hill Cemetery, Hurricane Creek, Wayne County. She was born on March 29, 1919 on Queens Creek in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Billups Rayburn. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stevens. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Eileen Stevens of Peachtree City, GA, and Daniel R. Stevens of Barboursville; one brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Annabelle Rayburn of Kenova; four grandchildren, Kevin and Cari Stevens of Toledo, OH, David Stevens of Deleware, James Robert Stevens and his fiancé Rebecca Babb of GA and Jeff and Anne Stevens of Ona, WV; four great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Austin, Lauren and Kylie. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 11:00 am Thursday at the Fellowship Baptist Church.
