Revella Adkins
(September 18, 1926 - March 17, 2011)



Revella Adkins, 84, of Branchland, went home to be with the Lord, March 17, 2011, at the Heritage Center in Huntington, WV. Revella was born September 18, 1926, in Wayne County, WV. She was preceded in death by her late husband Leean Adkins, who was the love of her life, her parents, Walter and Ella Dillon Adkins. She is survived by her two loving daughters that have broken hearts, Kathy Adkins and her husband Thurman of Barboursville, and Bonnie Adkins Eaves and her husband Dwayne of Branchland; three grandchildren she cherished and loved, Andy Adkins of Barboursville, Bryan Adkins and his fiancé Marlana Nease of Hamlin, and Natalie Adkins Karle and her husband Nick of Huntington; two great-grandchildren that were Revella's angels, Gabriella Karle and Maximus Karle; one brother, Leonard Adkins of Hamlin; special nephew and nieces, Jerry and Sue Adkins, Martha Eaves and Audalene Starr. She had many dear friends and relatives, Hollis and Emma Jean Adkins, long time friend Lorena Burd for over 60 years, Joyce Adkins, and Emual and Joyce Adkins. Revella worked at Huntington Manufacturing Company. She also was a member of the Bethlehem United Church in Branchland for many years and loved her brothers and sisters in Christ. Revella always put others first and loved her family dearly. Revella will be sadly missed by her family and those who knew her. The family would like to thank her doctor of many years, Dr. Thomas Dannals, and also the staff at Heritage Center in Huntington for their care, kindness and compassion showed to Revella. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. March 19, 2011, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, WV, by Rev. Jesse Lacy and Minister Emual Adkins. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
