Richard Lee Sawyers
(March 16, 1939 - March 14, 2011)

Richard Lee Sawyers, 71, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. He was born March 16, 1939, in Cabell County, a son of the late Kermit Sawyers and Ruth Mae Elkins Sawyers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Kermit Sawyers Jr. and sister, Sandra K. Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith Dawn Perry Sawyers; two daughters, Teresa (Jack) Mannon and Pamela Parks; one son, Richard Lee (Anissa) Sawyers Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Mers; three brothers, Gary (Bonnie) Sawyers, Roger (Anita) Sawyers, and Kevin Leroy (Connie) Sawyers; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
