William Franklin Hunt Sr.
(May 15, 1923 - March 8, 2011)

William Franklin Hunt Sr., 87, of South Point, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. Monty Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, with the American Legion Post 139 conducting military graveside honors. He was born May 15, 1923 in Ceredo, W.Va., a son of the late Oscar and Zelda Moss Hunt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mollie Jayne Hunt. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Pauley of Charleston, W.Va.; one son, William Hunt and his wife Julia of Charleston, W.Va.; one sister, Betty Hibner of Huntington; three grandchildren, Heather Hunt, Christina Hunt and Laura Newhouse; two great grandchildren, Anthony Newhouse and Robert Newhouse. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
