Obituary

RICHARD EDWARD BELL
(February 25, 1940 - October 31, 2014)



RICHARD EDWARD BELL, 74, of Salt Rock, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel by the Rev. David Cardwell. Burial will be in Lower Dial Cemetery, Branchland, W.Va. He was born February 25, 1940 in Logan County, W.Va., a son of the late Herbert Harrison and Mellie Claypool Bell. He was retired from Blenko Glass. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy C. Bell, one son, David Allen Bell and one sister, Glenda Stollings. He is survived by his companion, Patty Police; one daughter, Carol Wales of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Bell of Branchland, W.Va.; two sons, William Bell of Glenwood, W.Va., and Joseph Bell of Hamlin, W.Va.; one sister, Sallie Savage of Fayetteville, W.Va.; three brothers, Larry (Donna) Bell of Logan, W.Va., Roger (Kathy) Bell of Columbus, Ohio and Randy (Barbara) Bell of Hickory, N.C.; several grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
