Logan Anthony Boone
(October 25, 1985 - December 8, 2015)



Logan Anthony Boone, 30, of Ona, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2015. He was born October 25, 1985, in Huntington. Logan earned a B.S. in Biology from Marshall University, where he was a John Marshall Scholar. He was pursuing a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences. He enjoyed working outdoors with his grandfather, doing gardening and forestry. He was a creative writer and an avid reader. He participated in, and excelled in, numerous sports. He learned to ride a bike before his sister did, even though she was three years older. He was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Logan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Emmette and Beatrice Boone. He is survived by his mother, Gail Adkins Boone; his father, George Boone; his maternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Adkins; his brother Thomas; his sister Stephanie (Boone) Mosher and brother-in-law Daniel Mosher; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home in Milton on Friday, December 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Wallace Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, with Reverend Hubert Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Logan’s honor to the Donald Tarter Fund at the Marshall University Foundation.
