ObituaryDeborah Kay Eplin
Deborah Kay Eplin (Stump), 62, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. She was born on February 26, 1953, in St. Albans, W. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Emerson Stump. Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Berton Clinton Eplin Jr. of Huntington, WV; daughter, Marie Elizabeth Greene; grandsons, Brock Gunner and Bryce Kolton Greene and granddaughter Campbell Grace Greene of West Lafayette, Indiana. Also surviving Debbie are her mother, Margie Faye Stump of St. Albans; sister Paula Miller (Bob); brother Paul Stump Jr. (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Ceredo United Methodist Church. Debbie was a registered nurse in the surgery department at St. Mary’s Medical Center for 42 years, and she loved taking care of her patients and assisting physicians and staff. Debbie was passionate about gardening, and had remained close with her girl scout troop after many adventures. Her biggest joy in life was being a granny; she loved to bring smiles to those little faces. She was loved and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Tom Baisden. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donation be made to One by One Animal Advocates, P.O. Box 1032 Ashland, Ky 41105.
