SAMUEL RICHARD JENKINS Sr.
(May 31, 2940 - December 9, 2015)

SAMUEL RICHARD JENKINS SR., 75, of Glenwood, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor George Surgeon. Burial will be in Templeton Cemetery. He was born May 31, 1940 in Cabell County, a son of the late Harvey Jenkins and Alma Blake Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Jenkins; one granddaughter, Laura Stender; three brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margy and Pete Stender and Angie and Rodney Roberts, all of Glenwood; two sons and daughter-in-law, Samuel Jenkins Jr. of Ona and James and Deidre Jenkins of Nitro; two sisters, Sylvia Holley of Milton and Lurie Chapman of Ona; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Cassie), Rodney (April), Chris (Hanna), Jessina, Elijah, Nevaeh, Michael, Marshall and Noah; and six great-grandchildren, Case, Cole, Jalen, Aubrey, Jaxon, & Liam. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
