STELLA MAY COOK RAMSEY
(June 2, 1925 - February 12, 2015)



STELLA MAY COOK RAMSEY, 89, of Barboursville, joined her husband in Heaven on February 12, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Ray Knapp. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born June 2, 1925, in Ash Vale, England, a daughter of the late Albert Richard and Blanche May Cook. She was a British war bride that came to this country after World War II. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and watching birds. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Eugene H. Ramsey; two sisters, Joyce Barry and Molly Zwolinski; and one brother, Albert Cook. She is survived by one son, Danny Ramsey and his companion, Carolyn Church; one daughter, Donna (David) Smith of St. Albans, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Tracy Meadows (Greg), Sarah Cochran (Sean), Melanie Romans, and Wesley Eugene Ramsey Smith (Kari); and three great-grandchildren, Andria and Brandon Ellis and Matthew Woodyard. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers at St. Mary's in the PACU and MICU departments. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
