VERNON BLACK JR., 48, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton. He was born March 27, 1968, in Cabell County, a son of Wonetta Coy Black of Huntington and the late Vernon Black Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Jasmine Black (Terry) Brooks of Wayne; one sister, Angela Black Simmons Swim of Huntington; an aunt, Vicki Coy; his best friends, Rodney Conn and Gregory "Budd" Canter; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
