Obituary

DORA JANICE YOUNG
(July 8, 1933 - October 28, 2016)

DORA JANICE YOUNG, 83, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, formerly of Barboursville, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born July 8, 1933, in Jackson County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph Everett Harrison and Koontzie Pfost Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edwin Young; and one sister, Rosemary Harrison. She was a member of Steele Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Cumbea of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Zachary Marshall Cumbea, Lindsay Nicole Cumbea and Parker Wesley Cumbea. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with the Rev. Ralph Sager officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, W.Va. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Steele Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund or to Hospice of Huntington.
