Earlisee Marie Porter, 78, of Barboursville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a zest for life and is already terribly missed. She was born August 15, 1938, in Salt Rock, a daughter of the late Rev. Herman and Norma Nida Berry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan Andrew Porter, brother, Charles Eugene Berry, infant brother, Hallie Doyle Berry and brother-in-law, David Newman. She is survived by her husband, Gregory D. Porter; one daughter, Kim and Greg Villars of Huntington; one son, Brian and Carol Porter of Barboursville; three sisters, Janice Newman of Salt Rock, Ann and James Ross of Vero Beach, FL, and a very special baby sister, Brenda Berry of Salt Rock; sister-in-law and her husband, Jean and “Buddy” Merritt of Barboursville; two brothers, Kenneth and Shirley Berry of Vero Beach, FL and Herman “Peachie” and Parshia Berry Jr. of Cullman, AL; three grandchildren, Meagan (Anthony) Zentner, Cameron Porter and Hannah Villars and three great-grandchildren, Karl, Kate, and Kurt Zentner, who all meant the world to her, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, Rev. Dan Londeree and Rev. Doyle Berry.
