RICHARD N. SAMMONS
(September 17, 1956 - April 1, 2017)

RICHARD N. SAMMONS, 60, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away April 1, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens. He was born September 17, 1956, in Williamson, W.Va., a son of the late Lindsey Argus and Miranda Perry Sammons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Steve Sammons, and one sister, Ethel Freeman. He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Sammons of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons, Troy and Becky Johnson of Huntington and Justin and Summer Sammons of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Linda Burke of Roanoke, Va., and Jeannette Norman of Huntington, W.Va.; four brothers, Argus Sammons Jr. of Huntington, David Sammons of Mississippi, Bruce Sammons of North Carolina and Doug Sammons of Ohio; three grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Garrett Johnson and Katlyn Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, family; and special friends, Randy and Carolyn Hunter. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
