Obituary

HELEN WINTERS
(February 9, 1929 - April 23, 2017)

HELEN WINTERS died April 23, 2017, in Maine, following a four-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born February 9, 1929, in Huntington, W.Va., and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976, where she resided until she moved to Lubec, Maine, in 2014, where she lived out her life in her family's care. She was known as a kind and loving woman, a devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie Faulkner, brothers, Marshall and Charles Faulkner, and husband, Edward Winters. Surviving is her daughter, Denise Boston and husband Kevin, granddaughters, Cady and Nellie Boston, all of Lubec, Maine, and countless nieces and nephews who all meant the world to her. Visitation will be held at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, on Friday, May 5, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m., with services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
