Obituary

Brenda Joyce Hogsett
(December 22, 1945 - December 28, 2017)

BRENDA JOYCE HOGSETT, 72, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. She was born December 22, 1945, in Logan County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles Edward Workman and Alice Ann Akers Workman Ryle. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Anthony Carter. She is survived by her husband, Carl "Sonny" Hogsett Jr.; four daughters, Mary Ann Gue, Tammy Lynn Carter, Sharon K. McCallister and Katrina Gail Hogsett, and three sons, Jeffrey Allen Hogsett, Ronald Lee Hogsett and Matthew Thomas Hogsett, all of Huntington; three sisters, Diane, Denise and Keshia Ryle; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
