Janie Lowe Riggs
(January 18, 1952 - December 25, 2017)

JANIE LOWE RIGGS passed over from this life to be with her best friend and loving husband, Lance, on Christmas Day 2017. She was born January 18, 1952, in Logan, W.Va., the daughter of the late Marie and Brady Lowe. Janie was preceded in death by her dear husband, Lance; her parents, Marie and Brady Lowe; grandparents, Elmer and Pearl Sergent; two uncles, James and Leonard Sergent; a brother, Gordon, and her recently departed brother and protector, James "Bo" Lowe. She leaves behind a daughter that meant the world to her, Emily E. Callison, and a son-in-law, Rusty, whom she was so thankful to have as her family. She also leaves behind one son, Jacob I. Riggs, that she loved dearly. She also leaves behind one brother, Pete Lowe, a very special Aunt, Cricket Porter, as well as a sister-in-law, Janet Lowe, that was her friend and confidant through thick and thin; very special nieces and nephews, Caleb and Kim, Becky and Rocky, Stacy, Jon and Julie, Wayne, Sherri and Charlie, Christopher and Chris, as well as the Lowe grandchildren she claimed as her own, Austin, Kelsea, Shyla, Brady and Erin, that she really enjoyed having in her life. Janie's joy was her family and her four lifelong friends, Micky and Suzi Miller and Bill and Sandy Brown. A special thank you to Mr. O'Brien for always being a good neighbor. "What we have enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." (Helen Keller). Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted the same day at 2 p.m. by Rev. Ron Burnsworth. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
