Obituary

D C Allen
(August 18, 1932 - June 27, 2017)

D C Allen, 84, of Proctorville, OH passed away June 27, 2017 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Green Valley Cemetery, by Rev. Carlos Gibson. He was born August 18, 1932 in Dunlow, WV, a son of the late George and Francis Williamson Allen. He was preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila June Childers Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Deen Allen and Melanie Harper-Allen of Madison, WV; half-sister, Sylvia Craft of Chesapeake, OH; two half-brothers, James Tomblin of Wayne and Dennis Wallace of FL; one granddaughter, Madison Allen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702. There will be no visitation. The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
