Obituary

Paul Hubert Braley
(January 12, 1930 - August 4, 2018)

Paul Hubert Braley, 88, of Salt Rock, WV, passed away August 4, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born January 12, 1930, in Glenwood, WV, a son of the late Henry Gwinn Braley and Thelma Hogsett Braley. He retired from Conners Steel. He was a longtime member of Steele Memorial United Methodist Church and current member of Valley of Decision Church. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Maxine Jarrell Braley and his stepson, Steven Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Delores Faye Ray Chapman Braley; two daughters, Penny Saylor and Cindy Lynn Braley both of Barboursville; two stepsons, Rick Chapman of Milton and Jerry Chapman of Barboursville; seven grandchildren, James D. Saylor, Ashlee G. Young, Bradley P. Saylor, Shandy Adkins, Nicholas Chapman, Ashley Byrd, and Adam Chapman; 13 great grandchildren; and Joseph Wilson who was like a grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Kevin Shull. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
