Patrick Lee Chapman
April 25, 1941 - April 28, 2009

Patrick Lee Chapman, 68, of Huntington, husband of Cookie Verbage Chapman, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1941, in Huntington, a son of the late Harold C. "Chappie" and Delores Louise Collins Chapman. His brother, William L. "Bill" Chapman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shag and Margaret Verbage; brother-in-law, Glen Verbage; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Toufie Kassab, also preceded him in death. Pat retired from ACF Industries as the manager of materials with 50 years service. He loved his grandchildren and especially enjoyed watching them excel in their chosen sports. In addition to his wife he leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Eugene Pertee of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Aimee Chapman of Ona, WV; seven grandchildren, Lauren Neal, Erin Chapman, Laney Chapman, Makenzie Chapman, Maddie Pertee, Mallory Pertee, and Maggie Pertee; a great grandson, Bryce St.Clair; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie Chapman, Bobbie (Buddy) Kitchen, Bo (Alice) Verbage, Patty (Steve) Spence, Shorty (Paul) Bailey, Larry (Vickie) Verbage, Joe (Kathy) Verbage, and Tom (Susan) Verbage; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Kevin West officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call after 12:30 PM until service time Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
