David Lewis Newbold
December 19, 1928 -- April 1, 2009

David Lewis Newbold, 80, of Huntington, formerly of New Jersey, widower of Stella Newbold, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1928 in Hopewell, VA. In addition to his wife, a daughter, Mary Ann Kotula preceded him in death. He formerly owned and operated several service stations for Shell Oil Company, in Virginia. Survivors include his two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia Baggett of Huntington, and Della and Phil Fox of Lesage, WV; two additional sons-in-law, Charlie Clark of Barboursville, and James Kotula of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Jane Komick of Fords, NJ., and Lucille Maciorowski, also of New Jersey; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and their families. A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Monday April, 6, 2009, at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lesage, WV, with Father Jim Sobus officiating. Chapman's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
