Drew Huddleston
January 30, 1926 -- April 11, 2009

Drew Huddleston, 83, of Huntington, WV. died Saturday April 11, 2009 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday April 15, 2009 at Woodmere Memorial Park;s Abbey of Remembrance with Pastor Jeffrey Wick officiating. Entombment will follow. Drew was born January 30, 1926 in Point Pleasant, WV., a son of the late Elmer Huddleston and Irene Fowler Miller. He spent most of his working life on a riverboat. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII and he received The Purple Heart. He was a life member of the D.A.V., American Legion & the V.F.W. Post 1064 whose members will conduct military graveside rites. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Audrey L. Huddleston, 3 sisters & 2 brothers. Survivors include 2 daughters; Audrey "Sissy" Huddleston of Huntington & Paula Simpson of South Point, OH., 1 son; David D. Huddleston of Manistique, MI., 8 grandchildren; Alan Osgood II, Jennifer & Jerry Simpson, Jessica Adkins, Erica Bledsoe Adkins, Drew M. Huddleston, Kelly Caduto & Roxanne Lockwood, 11 great-grandchildren and a special Brother-in-law Paul Waymire of Huntington. Friends may call at the cemetery after 2:00 PM on Wednesday April 15, 2009. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
