Patricia Bernice "Nookie" Jenkins
August 27, 1951 - April 22, 2009


Patricia Bernice "Nookie" Jenkins, 57, of Huntington, wife of Richard Jenkins, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday April 22, 2009. She was born August 27, 1951, in Huntington a daughter of Ernestine Edmonds Steward of Glenwood, WV., and the late Alva Richard Steward. She was a long time homemaker for her husband and family. Additional survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Sherri Jenkins, and Mark and Wendy Jenkins, all of Kenova; four grandchildren, Carrie, Richard, Jack and Sara Jenkins; a sister and her husband, Loretta and Kenneth Price of Glenwood: a brother and his wife, Vernon Dale and Wanda Steward of Glenwood; nieces, Keishia Price and Laura Stevens, and nephew, Scott Price; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rev. Andrew and Brenda Jenkins of Falmouth, KY, Barbara and Ray Payne of Huntington, Jean Meadows of Worthington, KY, Etta and Jerry Payne of Huntington, and Jackson and Shirley Jenkins of Huntington; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday at the Pete Meadows Cemetery, Glenwood, WV, with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Andrew Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Shirners Hospitals for Children. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family
