June 14, 1946 -- April 7, 2009

Carolyn Jeanette Meadows, 60, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Carolyn died peacefully in her sleep at her residence.
Born June 14, 1948, at Welch, West Virginia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Gerald K. Meadows, who passed away on February 19 of this year, and Violet Lea Miller Meadows of Brenton, West Virginia.

She retired from West Virginia Public Television after 35 years of dedicated service as a daily programmer for WPBY Television (affiliated with Marshall University), a West Virginia Public Television Education Workshop Trainer, a West Virginia Public Television Ready to Learn Trainer, and a West Virginia Read To Me Day Coordinator.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her immediate family, as well as her extended family. She was an avid reader and loved preparing her home for friends and relatives who stopped by frequently.
In addition to her mother, Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Janet Richelle Frazier (Rae Ray); a granddaughter, Teryn Renee Hubbard; a grandson, Jayson Malik Griffin; a special niece, Beulah Frazier of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Loretta (Steve) Rose of Brenton; a brother, Kevin Keith (Mary) Meadows of Huntington; three additional nieces, Tara (Bob) Bartz of Hilliard, Ohio, Joselyn Meadows of Huntington, and Stacy Meadows of Huntington; a nephew, Richard (Marie) Rose of Huntington; and great niece and nephew, Gretchen and Matthew Bartz of Hilliard, Ohio.
A memorial service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary on Third Avenue in Huntington. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Kenneth R. Stultz II, Minister of Music at Jefferson Avenue Church of God and close family friend, will conduct the memorial service in honor of Carolyns lifetime goals, dreams and accomplishments.
