Mark Clay Lesher
August 14, 1934 - May 24, 2009



Mark Clay Lesher, 74, of Huntington, WV., died at home on Sunday May 24, 2009. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday May 27, 2009 at the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jack Lipphardt. Graveside service & burial will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday at Elk Hills Memorial Park, 4705 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV. 25302. He was married to Faye Harper Lesher, devoted wife of 51 years. He was born on August 14, 1934, in Shillington, Pa, a son of the late William and Anne Lesher. He is survived by his wife, children Brad of Augusta, Ga., Todd and Teresa Lesher of Atlanta, Ga., brother Bill Lesher of Leesburg, Fl., and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He graduated from Penn State University in 1956 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, graduated from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies in 1976 with an MBA, and became a Certified Financial Planner in 1994. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church since 1979, served in various leadership roles over the years and was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. In addition to enjoying his life in Huntington, Mark loved to spend winters in warm, sunny Florida and time at the family farm on Lesher Drive near Middletown, Pa. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved well, laughed often, and will be missed by many. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday May 26, 2009.
