Obituary



Dixie Lee Morrison, 97, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Wyngate Assisted Living. She was born February 14, 1918 in Wayne County, WV a daughter of the late Charles F. and Stella Berry Osburn. Her husband, Granville P. Morrison; two sisters, Ellen Anglin and Belva Sansom; and two brothers, Jennings Osburn and Dennis Osburn, also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and was a member of Twenty-Sixth Street Church of Christ. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Gary P. and Barbara Morrison of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Carla Sue and George Morgan of Huntington; two grandchildren, Melissa Bane and her husband, Dan and George Morgan, Jr, all of Huntington; two great grandchildren, Christopher Rauhecker and Brandon Morgan; three sisters, Lena Rachel Drown of Manassas, VA, Vora Maynard of South Point, OH, and Mary Krajeski of Naples, FL; a brother, Orvil Osburn of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A private service for family will be held at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
