Obituary



Maxine Childers Ramey, 80, of Crown City, OH, widow of Ezra "Jack" Ramey, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born November 27, 1934, in Branchland, WV, a daughter of the late Emmitt Daily and Lessie E. Gue Childers. In addition to her parents she had a daughter and son-in-law, Clella June "C.J." Booth and Chuck Booth; and a brother, Herman Childers precede her in death. She retired from Owens Illinois after 40 years of service retiring on June 1, 1993. She was a graduate of Barboursville High School and Baptist by faith. Survivors include her granddaughter, Christy Booth of Huntington; a grandson, Courtney Booth and wife, Susan of Gallipolis, OH; four great grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Peyton, and Rees; three sisters, Ferldine Ramey, Sherma Hatfield, and Charlene Kincaid, all of Florida; and a brother and sister-in-law, Grandell and Patty Childers of Branchland, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary, with visiting one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH.
