Obituary


Charles Fredrick Carroll, 82, of South Point, Ohio, passed away Thursday March 8, 2018, at his residence. He was born August 11, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Robert and Mary Arthur Carroll. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, having served on the USS WASP. He did funeral escorts in Columbus, Ohio with the Ohio State Patrol, was a retired Greyhound bus driver with twenty years of service, was employed by the South Point Walmart Store for ten years and attended Thirteenth Street Baptist Church of Ashland, Kentucky. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Jack and Arthur Carroll. Survivors include his wife of thirty- one year’s Betty Ann Conrad Shureck Carroll; a daughter, Rebecca Carroll of Columbus, Ohio; step-daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Mike Carroll of Proctorville, Ohio; a son, John Carroll; a sister, Mary Lou Finley; and a nephew, Glenn Arthur Finley both of Franklin Furnace, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date.
