KENNETH DARRELL (KENNY) GIBSON
(August 23, 1929 - February 20, 2014)

KENNETH DARRELL (KENNY) GIBSON, 84, of Barboursville, passed away February 20, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by the Rev. Bob Ray. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born August 23, 1929, a son of the late Reen Gibson, Sr., and Virgie Brumfield Gibson. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation and he attended Cyrus Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Gibson, one sister, Sybil Paul, four brothers, Reen Gibson Jr., Hobert Gibson, Donald Gibson and David Gibson, and two stepsons, Calvin Ballance and Larry Ballance. He is survived by three stepdaughters, Gloria Nanney and Patsy Leary, both of Chesapeake, Va., and Janice Ireland of N.C.; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
