Betty Gay Ramey
(December 21, 1936 - February 12, 2014)



Betty Gay Ramey, 77, of Salt Rock, WV, passed away February 12, 2014, at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, with family and close friends by her side. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Weston Cremeans. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born December 21, 1936, in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Floyd and Carrie Merritt Queen. She is also preceded in death by her husband Audie M. Ramey. She was the homemaker and owner of Ramey's Grocery. She is survived by one son Kenneth (Sue) Ramey; two grandchildren, Julie (Johnny) Dial and Jennifer Thompson (Jerry); five great-grandchildren, Brandon Dial, Riley Johnson, Dylan Dial, Rian Johnson and Abel Thompson; two sisters, Norma Hatfield and Juanita Adkins (Donald); one brother, Oather Queen; and a special niece, JoAnn Tabor; special friends Donald and Brenda Childers and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to thank Dr. Beam, Dr. Triplett, Oncology Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center and Lincoln Nursing Health and Rehab for all their care and support.
