Obituary

Sarah Ellen Ingels
(December 31, 1925 - November 17, 2014)


Sarah Ellen Ingels, 88, of Barboursville, passed away Monday November 17, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Stephens Catholic Church by Father Babu Joseph and Father Charles Moran. She was born December 31, 1925 in Wilsonburg, WV, a daughter of the late Luke and Nell Merel Forinash McDonough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ingels, one son, Joe Ingels, and two brothers, James and John McDonough and two sisters, Katherine McDonough and Helen Roberts. Sarah was very active in her church until her recent illness, was an avid reader and was well known at the Barboursville Library as the Cookie Lady. She loved to fish and loved the outdoors and was a great cook. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Rebecca Ingels of Huntington and Jim and Marsha Ingels of Mooresville, In; two sisters, Betty Murphy of Huntington, and Joan Swann of Chesapeake, OH; one step-brother, Pete Jeffery of Proctorville; eight grandchildren including a special grandson, Jason and seventeen great-grandchildren. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville is in charge of arrangements.
