Obituary

RUBY SUTHERLAND
(November 4, 2014)

RUBY SUTHERLAND, age 52, had an earthly death and a heavenly reunion Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 in Georgetown, South Carolina. Her mother Shirley Marie Sutherland and father Willard Sutherland predeceased her. She was the youngest of six children. Surviving include her sisters Rose Maynard and her son Jason Compton (wife, April Compton) and daughter Becky Ferris (husband, Sam Ferris); Weltha Zunk and her two daughters Mindi Ford and Jodi Hospital; Christina Sutherland-King and son Taylor King. Surviving brothers include Warren Sutherland (wife, Penny Sutherland) and their daughter Kristen and two sons Jeremy (wife, Ashley) and Greg (wife, Adria) Sutherland and Willard Sutherland (wife, Linda Sutherland) and their son Willard Sutherland III and daughter Cindy Jo Sutherland. Ruby has been totally disabled for many years, but always kept a smiling face and friendly disposition. Ruby Sutherland spent her childhood in Dunlow, West Virginia, her young adulthood in Salt Rock, West Virginia, but moved to Pawleys Island, South Carolina fifteen years ago to be with her sister and nephew. Funeral services will be conducted noon Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. Jeremy Sutherland and Pastor Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour prior to service on Sunday at the funeral home.
