Obituary

CLIFFORD MERRILL VICKERS
(January 10, 1930 - December 6, 2016)



CLIFFORD MERRILL VICKERS, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Warren officiating. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. He was born January 10, 1930, in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late Bernie S. and Marie McMullen Vickers. He was retired from the State of West Virginia Public Service Commission and from Columbia Gas. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the US Air Force. He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church, a Gideon, and a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Logan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Spears Lewis Vickers, and four brothers, Edgie, Bill, Bob and Chuck Vickers. He is survived by three sons, Jim (Sandy) Vickers of Wayland, Michigan, Randy (Gina) Vickers of Ona, W.Va., and Kevin (Virginia) Vickers of Huntington; one sister, Mary Ruth (Steve) Clark of Shelbyville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Jordan (Ken), Ryan (Rhonda), Jeremy and Seth (Kelsea); four great-grandchildren, Braedyn, Ashtyn, Liam and Scout; and a host of extended family. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
