Obituary

RUBY DEAN REYNOLDS
(April 12, 1934 - January 22, 2016)



RUBY DEAN REYNOLDS, 81, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Jamie Jefferson and Steve Hinkle officiating, and Pastor Lee Dean singing. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born April 12, 1934, in Milton, WV, a daughter of the late Welza and Lesta Wintz Byrd. She was also preceded in death by her adopted parents, Albert and Bessie Jenkins; one brother, Bill Byrd; two sisters, Martha Black and Hazel Hutchinson; and the father of her children, Robert Denver Reynolds. She worked for 40 years as a housekeeper for Holiday Inn in Huntington and later the Econo Lodge. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Bob Fife of Lesage and Debbie and Bill Byrd of Huntington; one son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Christina Reynolds of Huntington; one sister, Estella Black of Kenova, WV; one brother and sister-in-law, Welza and Betty Byrd Jr. of Ona, WV; seven grandchildren, Robert Fife III, Andrea Fife, Alisha Clark, Mike Byrd, Ashley Byrd, Nichole Reynolds and Hannah Reynolds; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Fife, Teagan Hudson, Tatum Hudson and Blakely Byrd; one stepgranddaughter, Kerri Bryan; and one stepgreat-grandson, Rylan Bryan. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington, especially Jo, for their loving care and support.
