Delmo Densel Ross
(November 21, 1936 - January 13, 2016)



Delmo Densel Ross, 79, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, by Rev. Kerry Bart. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born November 21, 1936 in Salt Rock, a son of the late Joseph Ross and Norma Jean Cremeans Ross. He retired from the United States Air Force with 21 years of service and received the Air Force Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He retired from Cabell County Schools, after 24 years as a school bus operator and was a past President of the WV Education Support Personnel. He served on First United Methodist Church of Barboursville Staff and Pastor Parish Committee, Council on Ministry, Lay Leader, and taught Sunday School. He is survived by his wife, Marie Clauss Ross; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Nathalie of Houston, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Duane Hayes of Saline, Michigan; one brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Linda Ross of Florida; and three grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, and Gabrielle Ross. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
