Frederick R. Wolfe

Frederick R. Wolfe, 87 of Huntington, WV, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday July 21, 2009 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday July 24, 2009 at White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville by Dr. Dale Waters & Rev. Ed Hood. Burial will follow. Fred was born February 10, 1922 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Charles Henry & Nina Clara Mayse Wolfe. He retired from the former INCO Alloys, was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII, and a member of the Fourth Ave. United Methodist Church. Fred was preceded in death by 1 daughter Carolyn S. Irwin, 1 son John C. Wolfe, 5 brothers & 3 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 66 years Evelyn Wolfe, 1 son Daniel R. Wolfe of Huntington, 2 sisters Emma of Maryland & Mary of California, 6 grandchildren Karen & Lauren Irwin, Stephanie Smith, Melody Belcher, Stephen Wolfe & Justin Thomas, 5 great-grandchildren Makylah Wolfe, Jacob & Andy Ryder, Tyler Webb, & Audrey Smith. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Friends may call at the cemetery after 1:00 PM Friday. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
