Betty Lea Turner, 83, of South Point, OH, died Monday September 28, 2015 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Thursday October 1, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Betty was born August 11, 1932 in Glenwood, WV a daughter of the late Forest and Beulah Spurlock Starkey. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Sheldon and Frank Starkey, two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Ruth Meadows. Survivors include her husband Paul Donald Turner, two daughters, Karen (James) Loar of Hurricane, WV and Robyn (Roger) Dilley of Ona, WV, one brother, Leland (Evelyn) Starkey of Glenwood, one grandson, Brandon (Hannah) Bias and two great grandsons, Dustin and Bodie, several nieces and nephews including a close niece Joyce (Garland) Carter. The family would like to thank all her neighbors and Cabell Huntington Hospital ICU nurse Josh for all their loving care. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
