Richard Alen Sowards, 55 of Prichard, WV, died Saturday, August 29, 2020, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1965, in Barboursville, WV, a son of the late Clarence and Lucy Cooper Sowards. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Peterbilt and attended Cyrus Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lovins Sowards; three daughters, Emma Staley of Prichard, Summer Sowards of Barboursville, and Jennifer Blankenship (Mark) of Prichard; two sons, Heath Sowards of Barboursville, and Chris Ball of South Point, OH; numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; No services are scheduled at this time. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
