Obituary

Celia Ann Buchanan of Huntington passed away on December 27, 2020. She was born February 24, 1945 in Ashland Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Click. She was a graduate of Paul Blazer High school and earned an associate degree in business. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years James Edward Buchanan. Celia volunteered countless hours as homeroom mother when her boys attended Guyandotte Elementary. She spent many years as a service worker at McDonalds before retiring in 2002. She was an avid reader who enjoyed family trips. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children; James Edward Buchanan II and Mark Buchanan and his wife Amy; grandchildren, Benjamin James Buchanan, Aleck Michael Buchanan, and Bryleigh Hazel-Ann Buchanan and two half-sisters; Ginny Rearden and Sandy Preston. Services will be held at a future date. Celia was a faithful member of the Guyandotte United Methodist Church.
