Obituary



Jack Ronald Capehart, 92, of Barboursville, WV, husband of Linda Gail Toppins Edmonds Capehart, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1928 in Huntington a son of the late Clarence Clayton Capehart, Sr., and Blanche Gay Tolley Capehart. In addition to his parents, Jack had others that have preceded him in death including his first wife, Betty Jean Capehart; a daughter, Emily Edmonds; and two brothers, Clarence Capehart, Jr., and Eugene Capehart. Jack worked formerly for the CandO Railroad but had retired from Huntington Laboratories as a sales representative. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Huntington, and had been baptized on August 22, 1940. In addition to his wife, Linda, survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald E. and Sharon J. Capehart of Huntington, and Bradford and Cindy Edmonds of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Elisa Cremeans and husband, Keith Cremeans of Salt Rock, and Beverly Swann of Huntington; a granddaughter, Miranda L. Capehart Vallance and husband Dylan Vallance of Huntington; three grandsons, Brandon Cremeans, Andrew Cremeans, and Liam Edmonds-Leaseburge; and his sister-in-law, Martha Capehart of Huntington. Due to Covid-19 regulations and social distancing the family will have a private graveside in Spring Valley Memory Gardens with Gary McClellan officiating.
