Obituary


Harry Harlan "Willie" Childers, Jr., 74, of Proctorville, OH, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Willie was born July 22, 1946 in Ironton, OH, a son of the late Harry Harlan Childers, Sr., and Mildred Phillips Childers. He also had two sisters, Sharon and Linda, precede him in death. He was a US Marine Veteran and was a retired truck driver having worked at Machinery Hauling, Kenova, WV. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Harry James "Jimmy" Childers and Rhonda Childers of South Point, OH; three grandsons, Nick Childers, Bryan Childers and wife, Matty Childers, and Brandon Childers, all of South Point, OH; and a sister, Janice Ferguson of Barboursville, WV. No services are scheduled, and Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family with cremation.
