Aileen Augusta Johnson
(November 17, 1925 - September 16, 2011)

AILEEN A. JOHNSON, 85, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Aileen was born on November 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Gustan and Fannie Mead Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Janice Gould and one grandson Melvin Grayson. Survivors include one sister, Bette Jane Thornhill, one daughter, Claudia Ferguson Grayson (Frank) of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Michael Grayson (Tracey) of Atlanta, Chandra Gould of Atlanta, GA Monica Grayson-Downer (Dean) of Memphis, TN, and Ante Myers of Huntington; 7 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a niece, Dr. Fannette Thornhill-Scott (Thomas) of Wichita, KS, 2 nephews; Windle Thornhill of Huntington and Melvin (Teddy) Thornhill of Wichita, KS, and very dear friends Ivory Turner and Fannie (Honey) Walker of Huntington. A host of other family and friends also survive. She will be dearly missed and was truly loved. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00am at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home.
