Obituary

Hazel Virginia Wray Black, 87, of Fraziers Bottom, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 27, 2008 at her residence.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Milton, with Rev. Henry Clay officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  She was born May 15, 1921 in Mason Co., WV a daughter of the late Wilson and Melinda Cain Wray.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Anderson “Dick” Black, whom she married on November 2, 1939; four brothers and six sisters.  She attended Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.  She loved her Lord, her family, and especially her grandchildren.  She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William Alfred and Mildred Black of Milton, David and Libby Black of Huntington, Randy and LeeAnn Black of Milton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Belle and Gary Glenn of Milton and Mary Lou and Dwayne Spurlock of Lesage; one sister, Bessie Whitt of Middleport, OH; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
