Obituary
Lula A. Venoy Black,
88, of
Milton, went home to be with her
Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM , Friday, October 31, 2008 at
Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Rev. James Dailey officiating.
Burial will follow in
Forest
Memorial Park,
Milton. She
was born September 20, 1920 in
Huntington,
WV a daughter of the late Rev.
William Ernest and Alta Jenkins Venoy. She was also
preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters; and her daughter-in-law,
Sharlene Black. She was a homemaker and a member of
Barker
Ridge
United
Baptist
Church.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Black; son, Rodney Black of
Milton; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Clyde Bess; two grandchildren
Rhonda (Timbo) Edmunds and Bridgette (Srini) Chevuru; five great grandsons,
Andrew, Matthew, and Nathanael Edmunds and Lucas and Evan Chevuru; very
special nephew and his family, Dale, Rosalee, and Kim Edmunds; and special
friend, Christine Johnson. A special thanks to the
Hospice nurses who provided such wonderful care. Those
who wish may make donations to Hospice of Huntington.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 6 to 9 PM at Heck Funeral
Home.
