Blanche G. Thacker, 88, of Milton, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 at her home. Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with Rev. Brent Beckett officiating. Entombment will follow the services. She was born January 17, 1922 in Milton, WV a daughter of the late Bryant and Lida Markins Glenn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth S. Thacker; two sisters, Gladys Keaton and Leoma Lewis. She was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 149, Milton. She is survived by her son, Gale Thacker, his dear friend, Sheila Ray of Milton; granddaughter, Tina Ann Browning of Milton. There will be no visitation. Those who wish may make donations be made to Union Baptist Church in her memory.
