MARY ALTIZER CHILDERS
MARY ALTIZER CHILDERS, 80, of Barboursville, passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, after being a six year cancer and heart attack survivor. She was born May 2, 1929, the daughter of George and Ruth Waugh Altizer. She was Methodist by faith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Altizer, Hazel Clark, a brother Harwood Altizer. She is survived by her husband Raymond Childers, a daughter, Belinda Bays, a son Brian Childers, four Grandchildren, Heather Knipp, Ty Bays, Nickie Null and Isaiah Childers. Two Great-grandchildren, Mariya Chaffin and Mattison Null, all of Barboursville. Friends may call from 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2009, with the funeral service following immediately after, at HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE, with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 25, 2009 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Our family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their outstanding care. Mom spent her life doing for others and never asked anything for herself. She was a wonderful wife, fun loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. It was a privilege to have her as our dear Mother. We are so thankful that God promises we will see her again in heaven. Farewell for now sweet Mother. We Love You.
