SADIE MAYNARD TABOR
(June 16, 1918 - September 13, 2009)



Sadie M. Tabor, 91, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Heritage Center Homestead Unit. She was born June 16, 1918, Wayne County, W.Va. the daughter of the late Edgar and Lizzie Osburn Maynard. She worked in sales at several places. Anderson-Newcomb, Watts- Ritter, Bradshaw- Diehl. Her greatest joy was serving in the ministries at Farmdale Church of Christ singing in the Senior Saint's Choir, being a part of the Ladies Calling Group, and teaching Sunday School. She was preceded by her husband Otto Tabor; sister Miriam Copley, Mattie Lois Gillespie; brothers, Forrest, Ray, Kenneth Maynard; granddaughter-in-law Belinda Call. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Janice and Robert Call, two grandchildren, Carol Ann (Craig) Martin, Scott Call; five great grandsons, John ,Samuel, Adam Roberts, Zack, Dane Meadows; sister-in-law, Irene Maynard; brother-in-law, Orville Tabor' several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, 1:00 P.M. at the Farmdale Church of Christ, Barboursville, with Minister Danny Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington; Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Monday at the Henson Mortuary and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Homestead Unit of Heritage Center for their loving care and friendship that was given to "Sadie Lady". She loved each and everyone. Contributions may be made to Farmdale Church's bus fund.
